Three important ideas/things from the reading today are that many people mistake diversity to only "race" and "culture", multicultural education is a important part of valuing diversity, and multicultural education also emphasizes the importance of people sharing their stories and learning from the stories of others, but the most important thing I learned today is that building positive peer influence young people will change negative attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors about diversity.

Valuing Diversity
